The National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Scheme (NGERS) is a recent Commonwealth program for the reporting and dissemination of information about greenhouse gas emissions, greenhouse gas projects, and energy use and production. Corporations that meet an NGERS threshold must report their greenhouse gas emissions, energy production, and energy consumption. SMG developed and submitted its first NGERS report to the Federal Government in 2010, as a result of the commencement of the Koolanooka & Blue Hills project.
