Sponsorship

Resourcing the Region

One of SMG’s core values is to be Socially Responsible, and we take that responsibility very seriously. We don’t just want to meet your expectations, but exceed them with meaningful engagement and the opportunity to participate in your community. One of the principles ways that we can do this is through the Resourcing the Region program which not only looks at sponsorship, but at the establishment of Future Funds.

The SMG Resourcing the Region Program aims to support events and programs that contribute to the development of vital, well equipped, strong communities.

OUR FOCUS AREAS
Through the Resourcing the Region program, SMG seeks to invest in initiatives that:

  • Strengthen the local  community through ‘place making’
  • Build the capacity of youth through education, health and sport
  • Conserves or repairs the natural environment
  • Contribute to Indigenous interests

All projects we support fall into at least one of the focus areas mentioned above, and will be directed into the communities in which we operate.

Our operations are based in the City of Greater Geraldton, and the Shires of Morawa, Perenjori, Cue, Meekatharra and Murchison. Other close communities include the Shires of Irwin, Mingenew and Mt Magnet.

IT’S A PARTNERSHIP

SMG has a genuine interest in building the capacity of the communities in which we operate. Our sponsorship panel assesses all applications to determine how best to allocate funds and in-kind contributions to maximise benefits for communities in the Mid West.

So that we can be sure our sponsorship dollar is well invested, all successful participants should provide a brief report on their project following completion. We aim to build long-term partnerships with our successful applicants, and by providing us with a report and even some great photos on the success of the project, you will help ensure our support in the future.

SPONSORSHIP REQUESTS

Please send your details for sponsorship requests to via email: communityrelations@smcl.com.au and we will work through the approval process with you.
